Mel Melanie Gilbert Our hearts were broken that Monday morning when we woke to find our sister had gone on to eternal life. Diabetes had taken her life w/o a warning to us. She was 19. Smart and friendly and beautiful, she had a full life ahead of her. Only days away from going off to college in Kingston, Ontario where she would meet her boyfriend and the love of her life. He was going to propose he said, but his chance was stolen as were many moments that we wish we could share with her. She was the tie that binds in our family and we miss her dearly. She gave so much in her short life and touched alot of lives. I cannot wait to meet her again when my journey on earth is done. Forever, loved and remember, Mel....
