Keisha Irving

key,
this is a very strange thing to do for you. keisha was nine months pregnant with her daughter, keangela. keisha's boyfriend and baby's father, angelo, shot them to death just one day before ke-ke was due to have thier child.
keisha was a senior at Wendell Phillips High School in Chicago,Ill. Angelo was working to prepare for his new family.
Out of a family of 7 girls, ke-ke was the fifth one. She wanted to be a lawyer. She looked up to her oldest sister, Debbra, who is a Junior at Northern Illinois University. Ke-ke had three nephews who was looking forward to having a girl cousin. When she was younger she was a part of a singing group along with 4 of her other sisters. Keisha had a wonderful voice even at a young age. like any other person Ke-ke was full of life. She was not the type of person who did nothing. Doing alot, she was in school, working in a program for pregnant teens, and waiting for the bliss of motherhood to capture her. I saw Key about 3 weeks before she was killied and we talked about her joining Islam and getting a chance to get together with the rest of us to have a baby shower. She was sleeping when I first arrived and I didn't think she wanted to go with me but she did. "I'll go if you let me drive." For some reason I didn't think twice before letting her get behind the wheel of my boyfriend's car. Remembering how important it was to me to drive as much as possible before I got my license. That is how I remember her.
