Harold McCollum
| Dear brother, I miss you so much. You left us so suddenly, we didn't get to say good-bye.
You were gone before I knew it, and only God knows knows WHY! What it meant to lose you, no one will ever know.
From the day I was born you were there for me. Your fifteen year old arms were always eager to hold me. I was your baby sister. The pictures show the smiles of love between us while we enjoyed life. As we grew together our eyes, our souls, and our hearts continue to meet. We played away the days and talked among the shadows. Age further distanced our friendship: You were a teen in search of meaning, muscle, and manhood while I was a girl determined to giggle, gossip, and grow up to fast. And somehow it all became too soon. Your life was taken... Your rights weren't read. But brother, I can't make any sense out of what happened-I'm not sure I ever will. I, do feel strongly that he must pay a price for what he did. The taking of another human life is no 'traffic accident' or 'spilled cup of milk'. There is NO EXCUSE for what he did, not stupidity, nor drugs, nor anger, or anything else! Brother, you are loved and missed by all.
Your sister, |
