She was born the eldest daughter of Orvil and Mary Alexander She was joined in marriage to Charles Dean Patterson in 1957 and had three children Betty, Kenny, and Sherry, And was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren.
Judge not a person on the deeds they have done, nor on the riches that they have aquired or on the races that they have won. Judge them not on beauty, nor on the creeds which they hold But instead they of all her actions and of those that she left behind. Think of her life from start to end and all the things that lie in between the things that you shared, the things that you have seen. For the value of Dorothy's life cannot be measured by wealth, nor longevity, by possesions or her health. Her life should be measured by the impact that she made on the lives of who she touched and by the values and honesty that she inspired on her children and grandchildren.
