William Saxton
| Spring has brought us sunny hours,
Bright blue skies and April showers,
Frisking lambs and merry ponies,
Swift young hares and playful conies.
Gone are winter's skies so drear;
Longer days will soon be here;
Happy days of fun and pleasure,
Youthful day we'll always treasure.
Some to work will soon be going,
Their best efforts always showing,
Wondering how they e'er could spare
These schooldays rich beyond compare.
Spring brings the bright days
Which everyone likes.
Children and grown ups
Set off on their bikes.
Winter has passed, and
Spring has come,
Long are the days, and
Bright is the sun.
Flowers are blooming,
Birds gaily sing.
No wonder that everyone
Welcomes the Spring.
